What is MICA?

MICA is a dedicated society for those professionals employed, operating or interested in the area of minerals industry consulting.

The Society:

• Provides input into publications, communications, policy positions, conferences and professional standards on behalf of its members.
• Maintains the 'Consultants Web Register' which provides a searchable database of registered consultants across all Mineral Industry disciplines, professions and sectors - a valuable and highly utilised resource.
• Operates in all areas of the Minerals Industry with Geoscience, Metallurgy, Engineering Environment, Management and Occupational Health and Safety being just some of the areas covered.

The Society intends to engage in a variety of activities including conducting workshops and seminars on a range of issues including adherence to industry codes and standards and how to effectively operate as a consultant. The Society will also be active in producing a regular newsletter and operates a discussion forum allowing for the exchange of ideas among its members.
